VenturePay consultants bring diverse business experience to every project. Prior to joining VenturePay, consultants held high-level positions in strategic planning, strategy consulting, compensation consulting, investment banking, marketing, operations and underwriting.


Lis T. Fuchs

Managing Director

Lis Fuchs is a Managing Director of Venture Pay Group Consulting, LLC. Lis draws on twenty years of experience in the payments industry in helping clients solve analytical, communication, and business and marketing planning challenges.

Lis has consulted extensively for Visa for over a dozen years. She has worked for many different divisions within Visa U.S.A., Visa International, Inovant, and now Visa Inc. Projects include strategic business and marketing planning, business case development, market sizing, promotion and partnership analytics, marketing campaign project management, business development, and sales and executive presentation development.

Prior to launching Venture Pay Group Consulting, LLC Lis worked for seven years at American Express Travel Related Services, Co., Inc. in New York and San Francisco. During her time at American Express she was responsible for Gold Card acquisition, the launch of the Executive Corporate Card for small business, new product development, and regional marketing and client events for American Express’ large-market corporate customers.

Lis contributes her time as a member of several nonprofit boards. She is currently Chairman of the Board of Kiddo!, the Mill Valley Schools Community Foundation, responsible for raising almost $2 million dollars a year to fund the arts and other essential programs and services in the public schools of Mill Valley.

Lis earned a B.A. in German Studies from Oberlin College and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Columbia Business School.

Michael J. Fuchs

Managing Director

Michael Fuchs is a Managing Director of Venture Pay Group Consulting, LLC. Michael brings over 20 years of management consulting, strategic planning and investment banking experience to his consulting practice. Recent projects include strategy development (product, pricing, and business line), business case development (financial analysis, market analysis, product and business P&L development), and marketing performance measurement (and tool development).

Prior to forming VenturePay, Michael worked for thirteen years as a senior consultant concentrating in strategy development and improving strategy execution for a number of consulting firms including Towers Perrin, William M. Mercer, The Canaan Group and The Kingsley Group. Earlier, he worked as a financial analyst for Investcorp (a New York investment bank) and as the manager of Ernst & Young’s strategic planning group.

Michael gives generously of his time to his local community as Chairman of the Mill Valley School District’s Community Financial Advisory Commission. He has built the financial forecasting models which guide the school district’s long term financial planning.

Michael earned a B.B.A. in Finance and Management of Organizations from Iowa State University and an M.B.A. with a dual concentration in Finance and Management from Columbia Business School.

Patrick Moloney

Managing Director, Compensation

Patrick Moloney is a Managing Director of Venture Pay Group and leads the compensation practice. Patrick provides counsel to boards and managers with regard to issues of executive compensation, employee pay, HR strategy and benefits. He has substantial experience designing compensation and HR programs for e-commerce, technology, financial services, and business services organizations.

Patrick has directed compensation assignments for both new ventures and established corporations for two decades. Before joining Venture Pay Group, Patrick was a managing consultant for Towers Perrin’s executive compensation group in San Francisco.

Patrick has a B.S. from the University of Washington in Seattle and a Masters in Management from Oxford University, England.

Dina B. DiBattista

Senior Consultant

Dina DiBattista is a Senior Consultant for Venture Pay Group Consulting, LLC. She is a seasoned executive with an extensive background in strategic business planning, market analysis, and planning and penetration in established and emerging markets. She is skilled in product and project delivery in the financial services industry with a focus in credit card and retail lending. Over the span of her 30-year career, she has consistently delivered successful business strategies and program solutions that increase revenues, lower costs and drive customer retention. She has been recognized for her commitment to achieving successful results through teamwork and collaboration.

Prior to consulting, Dina was Vice President of Marketing Advisors Consulting Services for MasterCard International and held many positions at Bank of America during her almost twenty years there.

Dina earned a B.A. in Foreign Languages and Biological Sciences from U.C. Berkeley and has attended the National School of Bank Card Management at Northwestern University.

Kira Sturney Keane

Senior Consultant

Kira Sturney Keane is a Senior Consultant for Venture Pay Group Consulting, LLC. With more than 20 years of professional experience, Kira offers her clients a wide-range of strategic communications and public affairs services. Kira is adept at all aspects of public relations, including community and government relations as well as media training and product launches.

Prior to joining Venture Pay Group, Kira worked for 14 years as an independent consultant specializing in public relations and public affairs. Her clients included Fortune 500 companies, internet start-ups and several major municipal agencies. Earlier, Kira was a Senior Account Manager at Solem & Associates in San Francisco and lobbied on behalf of the Committee on JOBS (a coalition of 30 CEOs of San Francisco’s largest corporate employers) as well as for Lucasfilm and the Golden State Warriors on land development projects.

Kira is active in her community, currently serving as Board Vice-Chair for Kiddo!, the Mill Valley Schools Community Foundation. She has also served as Campaign Communications Chair for several public school tax measures and provides pro-bono public relations advice for the Mill Valley Public Library and the Redwoods Retirement Community.

Kira earned a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University and was awarded a Krupps Internship to study in the Berlin overseas program.

Michael S. Rodriguez

Senior Consultant

Michael Rodriguez is a Senior Consultant for Venture Pay Group Consulting, LLC. Michael draws on over fifteen years of experience in the financial services, e-Commerce and healthcare markets. Michael is a highly accomplished senior strategist who is adept at directing strategic marketing initiatives, developing and launching new products, negotiating business partnerships, streamlining operations to improve productivity and efficiency, and delivering processes to reduce risk and ensure consistent quality.

Prior to consulting, Michael spent a significant portion of his career in the payments industry, as well as founding and launching several new business ventures in the software and healthcare services industries. Michael spent four years at Visa U.S.A. as the Director of Visa Business and the Director of e-Commerce. During that time, he led product development, marketing, technology, and risk management initiatives for the Visa Business Card. He launched four new co-branded Visa Business Card programs as well as the first Visa Business long-term discount program that secured exclusive contracts with national brands such as Shell Oil and Barnes & Noble. Michael also led the Visa Business PR Strategy and secured the first, exclusive three-year contract with SCORE. Before joining Visa, Michael worked as a Senior Marketing Manager for General Electric Capital Corporation Commercial Direct and GECC Business Services. He managed their $15 M card acquisition programs for small and mid-sized businesses.

Michael earned a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Southern Methodist University. He is also a graduate of the GE Financial Management Program, and has completed credit and marketing coursework through the American Banker’s Association and the Advanced Business Institute.

Rich Simon

Senior Consultant

Rich Simon has been described as the leading industry expert in business card underwriting and business card marketing. With more than 15 years in the industry working in a variety of capacities, he has accumulated a wealth of experience to share.

Over the past 7 years he has advised over 25 banks of all sizes in their underwriting, risk management, and marketing strategies. He has also advised Visa’s US and International business card management groups, writing papers, conducting best practice studies, and speaking at conferences and seminars.

Prior to working as a consultant, he spent eight years with American Express and was a Vice President responsible for underwriting and card growth for the business card portfolio. During that time, he helped market, launch, and underwrite over 10 new business credit and charge card products, and helped oversee the P&L for the largest business card product in the world.

He received his MBA from Columbia University in New York City and has several undergraduate degrees from the University of Utah. Currently he resides just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, where he advises banks with activities and interests around the globe.
